They immerse themselves in the location, the characters, and the time period. That's the most amazing thing about Pixar and Disney, they both go above and beyond when it comes to making a film. During the press day they actually had a man come in wearing a kilt, and he taught us all about kilts and what the locals do and wear (you know besides the kilt of course). We had so much fun learning about the background and the charters of Brave. Apparently, kilts are very warm, and the Scottish are no-nonsense kind of folk! Also, it's a lot easier to moon people without undies ). NO, they do NOT wear anything under their kilts!! Why, you ask? After that, she was fine again until the end. She was nervous about the entire movie, and then cried again when it got dark and the bear came on the screen. I took her right outside the theater and talked to her and after a few minutes she calmed down. As soon as the trailer for Monsters University came on she freaked out and started screaming. My youngest daughter Anna had seen a trailer for Brave and while I wasn't aware, I guess the bears in the trailer scared her. When I took my children, I had to leave three of them alone after the previews started. One word of caution, young children may be a little frightened by the bears and a few dark elements of the film. I took all four of my children to see Brave when it came out in theaters.
